Little Tree B & B
Listen to interview with Gordon Johnston
for MAC
Gordon Johnston escaped to Taos after more than 20 years of employment in luxury hotels. He met his wife Maggie when they were both managers at the flagship Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Buckhead- Atlanta, Georgia. During their courtship they discovered a mutual love of the B&B experience. They decided that owning a bed and breakfast was the only way to provide the level of personal attention and hospitality that they wished their guests to experience.

For the last seven years, they have owned The Little Tree B&B, an intimate, four room adobe hacienda with sweeping 360* mountain, mesa and sunset views, in Taos, New Mexico.
Judi Jordan,
Docent, Mabel Dodge Luhan House
Listen to interview with Judi Jordan
for MAC
Judi Jordan first came to Taos from New York City in 1992 to attend a writing workshop given by Natalie Goldberg, and 12 years later she started working there. The house is a well-known retreat to artists, writers, photographers, and musicians. Mabel dreamed of starting an art colony in Taos, but the people who came as visitors took the solace and inspiration offered, fulfilled their own needs and then returned to the outside world and their own lives.

The Mabel Dodge Luhan House continues today, under the administration of the Attiyeh Foundation, as a retreat from the chaos of the everyday world. It has a nurturing, welcoming warmth that is intrinsic to its very walls.
